Robotic Palletizing Systems in Massachusetts & New England
Cobot and industrial robot palletizers, designed, built and installed by Ames Electrical
Ames Electrical designs and builds robotic palletizing systems for manufacturers across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and the rest of New England. We do collaborative robot (cobot) palletizers for smaller spaces and moderate speeds, and fully guarded industrial robot palletizers for heavy loads and high rates. We build each system around your product, line speed and floor space.
Every cell is engineered, wired and tested in our Greenfield, MA shop, with UL-listed control panels built in-house. We've been doing industrial controls since 1992.
Cobot Palletizing or Industrial Robot Palletizing?
We build both. The right choice comes down to case weight, speed and how much space you have.
Cobot Palletizers
Collaborative robot palletizers are compact, quick to install and easy to run. In many layouts they can work behind area scanners instead of a full fence, based on a proper risk assessment. They're a strong fit for plants starting their first automation project.
-
Built on Universal Robots UR20 and UR30 cobots, lifting up to 25 kg (55 lb) and 35 kg (77 lb)
-
Vention modular frames, lift columns and MachineMotion controls
-
Single or dual pallet stations, so you can swap a full pallet without stopping the line
-
Operators build new pallet patterns on a touchscreen in minutes, without a programmer
-
Small footprint that fits where a person used to stand
-
Can be moved to another line later
Best for: light to medium cases, moderate line speeds, frequent changeovers and tight floor space.
Industrial Robot Palletizers
When you need more speed, heavier payloads or multiple lines feeding one cell, a guarded industrial robot palletizer is the right tool. These systems run inside fencing with interlocked gates, light curtains and safety-rated controls.
-
High payloads for heavy cases, bags, bundles and full layers
-
Faster cycle rates for high-volume lines
-
Multi-line and multi-SKU palletizing from one robot
-
Layer pads, slip sheets, pallet dispensers and stretch-wrap integration
-
Full safety design, including guarding, risk assessment and safety PLC
-
Robot selected to match your application and your plant's standards [or name your robot brand here]
Best for: heavy products, high throughput, 24/7 operation and bag palletizing.
Complete End-of-Line Automation
A palletizer is only as good as what feeds it. We handle the whole end of your line:
-
Infeed and accumulation conveyors
-
Case orientation and case turning
-
Pallet dispensers and slip sheet placement
-
Stretch wrapper and labeler integration
-
PLC, HMI and plant network integration
-
Safety fencing, light curtains and area scanners
-
Custom grippers: vacuum, clamp, fork and bag grippers
Why Manufacturers Choose Ames Electrical for Robotic Palletizing
-
Controls experts since 1992. Most robot integrators hand off the electrical work. We are the electrical team. Design, programming, panels and field wiring all stay in one shop.
-
UL-listed control panels, built in-house. Your palletizer's control panel is built and labeled in our UL 508A panel shop in Greenfield, MA.
-
Licensed master electricians in MA, NH and VT. We can handle installation and power on site, so you're not coordinating another contractor.
-
Local support that shows up. We're in Western Massachusetts, not across the country. Service plans, spare parts and remote access keep your line running.
-
Tested before it ships. Every system is built and run in our shop with your product before installation, so startup at your plant is fast.
How a Robotic Palletizing Project Works
-
Free on-site assessment. We review your line, products, rates, pallet patterns and floor space.
-
Layout and quote. You get a cell layout, cycle-time estimate and a clear, fixed quote.
-
Engineering and build. We design, build and program the system in our shop.
-
Factory acceptance test. You see it run before it leaves.
-
Installation and training. We install, commission and train your operators and maintenance team.
-
Ongoing support. Preventative maintenance, critical spares and remote troubleshooting.
